How do I fix the connection forcibly closed error?

1. Select Enable operating system’s restricted environment

Users have confirmed they were able to fix the remote host error by selecting the Enable operating system’s restricted environment option.

To do that, press the Windows key + R keyboard shortcut.

Click System Security and Programs to open a list of applets for that category.

Then click Java to open the window in the shot directly below.

Select the Advanced tab on that window.

2. Turn off antivirus software

The remote host error might be due to third-party antivirus software blocking a game’s connection with server. So, turning off antivirus software might resolve the issue for some users.

To disable an antivirus utility, right-click the system tray icon for it and select a disable or turn off option on its context menu.

If the utility’s context menu includes a disable firewall setting, select that option as well. Then try playing the game with the antivirus software disabled.

3. Adjust Windows’ firewall settings for Java SE Binary

Some users might need to adjust Windows Defender Firewall’s app permission settings for Java Platform SE binary.

To do that, press the Windows key + S keyboard shortcut.

Input the keyword firewall in Windows’ search utility.

Then click Windows Defender Firewall to open that applet.

Click the Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall option on the left of the WDF applet.

Click the Change settings button.

Scroll down to the Java Platform SE binary check box options.

Select the Private check boxes for all the Java Platform SE binary features listed.

Click the OK button.

4. Reinstall JDK

Some users have said they’ve fixed the remote host error by reinstalling JDK (Java).

First, open the Run accessory.

Next, input appwiz.cpl in Run’s Open box; and click the OK option.

Click Uninstall and Yes to remove Java SE.

5. Flush the DNS cache and restart router

Enter cmd in Run’s Open box and click OK to open the Command Prompt.

Input ipconfig /flushdns in the Prompt, and press the Enter key.

Restart your router after flushing DNS. You do that by unplugging the router, or pressing its on/off button.

Minecraft players can also try connecting with the Stuck.hypixel.net server, which might help fix the issue.
