This will save the file named “wlsetup-web.exe” on your computer. When you run this file, it will install .NET Framework 3.5 on your device, as it is necessary to install Movie Maker.

When the process has started, you will see the Windows Live Essentials installer open, and you will have the option to install some other features to your Windows 8, Windows 10 computer. In the Windows Live Essentials window, you will see two options that are available to you: install all the tools from this package, or customize the installation and add only the tools you need. If you only want Movie Maker, then you should go with the latter.
