  • 4. Reregister all MS Store apps

  • Open Windows 11’s Start menu, and then input PowerShell within the search box there.
  • Click the Windows PowerShell search result with the right mouse button to select Run as administrator.

  • Enter this command: Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
  • Press the Enter key to reregister the apps.

    5. Update the Photos app

  • Open Microsoft Store from the Start menu.
  • Click Library in the MS Store app.

  • Wait for MS Store to download and install available updates.
  • 6. Run a System File Checker scan

  • Type cmd within the Start menu’s search box.
  • To launch Command Prompt with elevated rights, click the Run as administrator option for that search result.

  • Enter this command for a Deployment Image scan and press Return: DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

  • Then wait for the SFC utility to complete the scanning process.
  • 7. Change the default image viewer app

  • Open Settings as covered in the third resolution (or you can press the Windows + I hotkey).
  • Select Apps and Default apps in Settings.

  • Type JPEG within the search box, and then select JPEG.

  • Choose Paint or Paint 3D if you don’t have any alternative third-party image viewers installed.
