How do I address Xbox Live error with the code 4220?

1: Restart the console

This error code can seemingly point towards different issues. But, after the deeper insight on user reports, we can conclude that the most common solution is as simple as they come.

2: Check the connection

Select My games & apps.

Under Games, select the error-affected game and open press Start to summon game options.

Select Manage game from the contextual menu.

You should see Updates in the left pane. Open it and install all available updates.

Start the game and look for improvements.

6: Reinstall the game

Finally, if none of the available solutions fits the bill, you can always reinstall the game. This is a long shot, but it’s still better than doing nothing, especially if the error is persistent.
