Your web browser can detect the country you’re from, but did you know that you can set your country manually in your browser?

That’s right, and you can do this simply by changing a couple of settings in your web browser, and today we’ll show you how to do that.

How do I set a different country in my browser?

1. Opera

Go to the Opera settings and activate the built-in VPN. (Leave it activated since it’s free to use.)

Use the Set up location notification on the homepage to allow Opera to detect your current position.

Afterward, whenever you want to change it, click on the respective location, choose the menu, and Change location.

Note that in order to do this, you need to have the VPN activated.

Enter about:config in the address bar.

If the warning message appears, select I accept the risk.

Search for geo.enabled and set it to False.

Search for geo.wifi.uri and set it to String. Now click the + icon.

Enter the following value:

After making these changes your location should be changed. Bear in mind that you need to use coordinates that match your desired country.

2. Chrome

Open Developer Tools You can do that quickly by using Ctrl + Shift + I shortcut.

Locate the Console tab and click three dots next to it.

Select Sensors. Now set Geolocation to Custom location and enter the desired coordinates.

So, if you want to set a different country in your browser, changing a couple of settings is all that you need. In case that doesn’t work, you can always use a VPN.
