The newest installment of the Tropico series is back. Today we’re greeted with Tropico 6, after a delay of a few months.
We’re back in the shoes of El Presidente, in charge of the Carribean island nation of Tropico, with even more customization features for your dictator.
Unlike previous titles, Tropico 6 won’t be limited to one single island, but allows you to build an archipelago with connecting bridges.
This expansion of islands is set on four eras, Colonial, World Wars, Cold War and Modern. Your actions will have a major impact on your archipelago aswell, this time each little things affecting your citizens in some way.
Now you have to balance between raids and keeping your people happy, to avoid having a full blown rebellion on your hands. These choices are left up to the player, such as intimidating neighboring states and countries, sabotaging superpowers and even writing fake reviews for tourism to boost your popularity.
Did we mention you can steal landmarks? Ever though how the Eifel Tower would look on a Carribean island? Now you do!
But no release is without flaws, and Tropico 6 makes no exception. With expected issues that might come up from time to time. As stated on a Steam thread, we can only wait.
