The Xbox One and Xbox One S consoles are very reliable, stable and fast. Microsoft’s gaming consoles are true powerhouses, but they also go down from time to time.
If your Xbox One console won’t install the latest updates, you can also perform an offline system update. In order to do this, you need a flash drive already formatted to NTFS. To format your flash drive to NTFS so that you can use it on your Xbox One or Xbox One S console, follow the instructions listed below.
How to format a flash drive to NTFS
Before you format your flash drive, don’t forget to back up any files already stored on it. All the files saved on the flash drive will be deleted.
5. In the Format Removable Disc dialog box >set File system to NTFS
6. Click Start at the bottom of the dialog box to launch the formatting process.
Now you can use the flash drive to download the latest Xbox One update files. You can then connect it to your console and install the updates. As a quick reminder, you need a USB flash drive with a minimum 4 GB of space to update your console.
