Open the folder where your file is located

Right-click on the file

From the menu appeared, select ‘Open with’ option (if it does not have this option – retry the solution above)

Click on ‘Choose another app’

from the list, choose WordPad

Do not forget to check ‘always using WordPad to open .XYZ files ‘
