This Black Friday, one of the blockbuster deals at the Microsoft Store was the HP Stream 7, which was retailing for just $99. Naturally, many, if not all, believe that this was an offer specifically for the big shopping day bonanza. However, now after Cyber Monday has ended, it seems that the price is still on.

HP Stream 7 comes at an amazing price

You can go ahead and purchase the HP Stream 7 for just $99 from the Microsoft Store, if you have been following this product for the past few weeks. To make the deal even sweeter, Micrsoft and HP are offering the ‘Signature Edition’ for sale, which means that it comes with Office 365 Personal for use with 1 PC and 1 tablet ($69.99 value)

It even gets a premium, free anti-virus software that never expires and is completely free of junkware or trialware. Besides this, it also comes with 60 monthly Skype world minutes, which is another sweet deal. But let’s have a look at the real tech specs:

Despite its quite low specs, which is what you’d expect, judging by its price, the HP Stream 7 has been given good ratings so far. Here’s what one of the owners has been saying:

Just picked up my HP Stream 7 from the Microsoft Store in Austin and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by this device for its price. Performance wise it’s snappy – using apps, snapping (yes, snapping works on this display), surfing the web is all fast. Games play super smooth and I have no qualms with the hardware, it feels fairly well built especially compared against other “Cheap” devices. It is a tad heavier then I would have guessed, but not uncomfortable at all. The only downside is that the screen could have used more anti-glare, but to win out on that, the brightness level can get really high. I found that the best option is to enable the extra row of live tiles (not sure why its not default.. it gives start screen more character..). I have not had a chance to try the MicroSD slot or headphones, hope to try that out this evening after i experiment around to see how well plex and VLC work – if those can play my networked blurays and mkv’s i will be buying more of these. Hopefully the product line does well as i would love to see more iterations of these with slightly more ram or higher res displays at just a slightly higher price.

I hope you’ll be having the same experience. Do leave your comment below and let us know what you think of it.
